JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 3400 W Plano Pkwy., Plano, Texas 75075 [Hybrid position]

DUTIES: Architect, design, develop secure applications, services and software, automate/maintain CICD pipelines, Microservice seed framework, and shared libs that are used across CTX with enhanced security for both cloud and on-prem using latest technologies like (but not limited to) Java, Spring, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Groovy, helm, docker, Veracode, etc. Responsible for the design and development of various initiatives for AT&T’s customer and employee digital experience across our consumer distribution channels. Support other engineers in the software product development life cycle from inception to production launch and post-production support. Apply strong technical background to design modular and scalable web components. Apply experience leading large cross-organizational software development projects and well-rounded technical background in microservices and caching framework development. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Collaborate with designers, developers, user experience team, and product owners in order to avail interactive and scalable sites/software. Identify and keep abreast of new methodologies and technologies that improve the quality, reliability, and performance. Provide functional and technical leadership and mentor software engineers. Write quality code for automated testing and validation. Enforce company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, and configuration management and compliance. Perform complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support. Implement, maintain, and update CICD pipelines. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Apply knowledge in Unit and Function testing using Junit, or Rest Assured. Utilize open-source Java frameworks for encryption, caching, and authentication. Work within Agile, Scrum. Utilize JDK, Spring, Spring boot, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Groovy, Helm, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining and improving software; managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; collaborating with designers, developers, user experience team, and product owners in order to avail interactive and scalable sites/software; identifying and keeping abreast of new methodologies and technologies that improve the quality, reliability, and performance; providing functional and technical leadership and mentor software engineers; writing quality code for automated testing and validation; enforcing company policies in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, and configuration management and compliance; performing complex engineering activities for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support; implementing, maintaining, and updating CICD pipelines; managing individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables; applying knowledge in Unit and Function testing using Junit, or Rest Assured; utilizing open source Java frameworks for encryption, caching, and authentication; working within Agile, Scrum; and utilizing JDK, Spring, Spring boot, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Groovy, Helm, Docker, Prometheus, Grafana.

Our Lead Software Engineering earn between $160,000 - $237,400 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
