About the role:

This position serves as the primary point of contact for the network organization in the Pacific Northwest and acts as the front-line technical support interface for troubleshooting customer-impacting wireless network issues and providing outage and incident triage.  The role functions as an operational bridge between Sales, Network Engineering, FirstNet, GTOC, External Affairs, Public Affairs and external stakeholders, ensuring timely coverage assessments, effective outage communications, and rapid response to customer issues.  The position proactively communicates network status and changes, enabling revenue protection and reinforcing customer confidence by translating network conditions into clear, actionable guidance for both internal teams and customers.

In addition, the role provides significant Radio Access Network support, including executive level reporting and operations review data preparation, major events management. The position owns coordination for temporary coverage solutions (COWs), project change control management, and program updates.

What you’ll do:

Technical Expertise and Problem Solving

  • Provide advanced technical guidance and resolve complex issues for wireless engineering or technical challenges.

  • Serve as the front-line technical interface for troubleshooting customer-impacting wireless network issues

  • Coordinate root cause analysis across cross-functional teams

Client and Sales Support:

  • Provide expert technical consultation to support the successful deployment and utilization of network solutions

  • Act as a key advisor to clients and sales teams, addressing technical challenges and assisting with presentations, demonstrations, and proposals. 

  • Provide clear, concise communication of network status, risks, and impacts

Reporting & Communications

  • Develop and deliver executive-level reporting and operations review materials

  • Translate technical data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences

Events & Coverage Management

  • Lead planning and execution support for major events (e.g. sports events, concerts, regional fairs)

  • Coordinate and manage temporary coverage solutions, including Cells on Wheels (COWs)

Program & Change Management

  • Manage capital project change control processes and program updates

  • Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure successful execution of network initiatives

What you’ll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) engineering and mobile network architecture, with the ability to diagnose and identify root causes of wireless network issues, as well as provide coverage assessments.

  • Proven ability to engage proactively with internal and external customers, including Sales and cross‑functional partners, in a professional, service‑oriented manner.

  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication and presentations

  • Strong coordination and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, facilitate cross‑functional alignment, and drive issues to resolution in a fast‑paced operational environment

  • Flexibility to provide support outside of standard business hours as required, including occasional evenings or weekends, to support outage response, FirstNet incidents, and high‑visibility events

  • Ability to operate effectively in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive situations, including outage management and major event support


Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Lead Technical Consulting Eng, earns between $130,700-$196,100 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
