The Security Lead is responsible for the comprehensive development, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the program security requirements. This position provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and technical direction to ensure the protection of personnel, facilities, information systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and organizational assets. The Security Lead serves as the primary authority for security operations, compliance, risk management, and security governance while leading a team of security professionals in support of organizational and client objectives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's enterprise security strategy, plans, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, mentoring, and performance management for security staff.
  • Establish and enforce security work standards, processes, and operational objectives.
  • Assign resources, establish priorities, schedule activities, and review work products to ensure mission success.
  • Disseminate organizational security policies, purposes, objectives, and goals throughout the workforce.
  • Manage compliance with applicable federal regulations, contractual requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards.
  • Oversee reporting, accounting, task management, and administrative functions supporting security operations.
  • Evaluate emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable government security directives, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, business partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary security liaison between the organization and customer organizations.
  • Coordinate security operations across multiple functional areas and stakeholder organizations.
  • Ensure timely completion of security tasks, deliverables, reports, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide strategic and operational recommendations to senior leadership regarding security matters.

Required Clearance:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise security management, security operations, security engineering, or related security disciplines.
  • Must possess at least 10 years’ experience in the security management of a Government enterprise network, with at least 5 of the 10 years of experience associated with the security management of : (1) NIST Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-199 Moderate or High systems; or (2) National Security Systems as defined in NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-59, Guideline for Identifying an Information System as a National Security System.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing security teams in complex operational environments.
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience supporting government, defense, intelligence, critical infrastructure, or highly regulated environments preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

  • One or more of the following certifications are desired:
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
    • Security+ or equivalent DoD-approved certification

Our Security Lead's earn between $128,300 - $275,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
