Job Description:
This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted.
This role is responsible for store design execution across the AT&T retail portfolio, overseeing the execution of store layouts and aesthetics. Responsibilities include layout planning, fixture and material design, and vendor selection and management.
In the role as a Director - National Operations, you will lead and optimize nationwide operational strategies, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with organizational goals to drive business success.
Specifically, this role is responsible for store design execution across the AT&T retail portfolio, overseeing the execution of store layouts and aesthetics. Responsibilities include layout planning, fixture and material design, and vendor selection and management.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:• Strategic Leadership, Planning, and Optimization: Lead and optimize nationwide operational strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals to enhance efficiency and scalability.• Project Management: Oversee all national projects and programs from concept to implementation.• Cross-functional Collaboration with Executive Leadership: Collaborate with multiple business units to ensure cohesive strategies including contact with key executive management decision-makers.• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.• Sales Operations and Support: Oversee sales operations activities by using knowledge of company products, services and technology to achieve company and operational goals.
Ideal candidate will have these skillsets:
Design Expertise: Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and practical retail design solutions. Knowledge of CAD software, rendering tools, and design best practices.
Project Management Experience: Proven track record managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines.
Vendor Management: Experience negotiating contracts, evaluating vendor performance, and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for collaborating across teams, presenting ideas, and managing vendors.
Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges, develop contingency plans, and drive creative solutions under pressure.
Job Contribution: Designs and executes strategies that support the overarching philosophy of the organization. Oversees departmental programs and is often hands-on with the design and implementation of applicable strategies. Typically leads large teams, supervising supervisors as well as career-level staff within the organization. Responsible for influencing decisions regarding the hiring, firing, disciplinary action, promotional activity, and pay decisions for subordinates.Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 10+ years of related experience.
