As a Principal System Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and architecting robust systems that drive our business forward. You’ll leverage your deep technical expertise and strategic thinking to develop scalable, reliable, and secure solutions that solve real-world problems and empower teams across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and document comprehensive system architectures encompassing both hardware and software components.

• Define integrated solutions that balance performance, scalability, usability, reliability, and security requirements.

• Lead coordination and integration efforts across subsystems to ensure cohesive and efficient total system design.

• Research emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance existing systems and infrastructure.

• Support and contribute to technical initiatives within larger projects, driving progress and quality.

• Develop and maintain new and existing technologies to meet evolving business demands.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and provide training and mentorship to team members.

What You’ll Bring

• 8-10 years of experience in system engineering or related technical roles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

• Proven experience designing and building scalable systems that meet high performance standards.

• Strong skills in developing detailed technical documentation for applications and systems.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a systematic and logical approach to challenges.

• Demonstrated capacity to lead and influence technical direction and innovation.

Our Principal System Engineering, earns between $174,100-$261,100 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
