Job Summary
The Specialist, Financial Analysis is responsible for providing detailed financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support business decision-making. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts/budgets and provide insightful explanations.
Reporting:Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Data Analysis:Gather, validate, and analyze large data sets from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Business Partnering:Work closely with business units and leadership teams to understand financial drivers, track KPIs, and support strategic initiatives.
Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis and reporting.
Compliance & Controls:Ensure adherence to company financial policies, internal controls, and external regulatory requirements.
Ad Hoc Analysis:Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
Professional certifications such as CA, CFA, CPA, or CIMA
10+ years of post-qualification experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
Experience in telecommunications or a related industry
Key Competencies
