Role Summary

Manage technology vendors and OEMs with a strong techno-commercial orientation, combining Vendor Management, cybersecurity and product knowledge, strategic sourcing, commercial governance, cost optimization and supplier performance management.

The role requires the ability to understand cybersecurity products and services from both a technology and commercial perspective, evaluate vendor solutions, challenge supplier propositions, assess technology and commercial risks, and translate technical requirements into effective sourcing, contractual and commercial outcomes.

The individual will work closely with Cybersecurity, Product, Technology, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Operations teams and serve as a key interface between technical stakeholders and technology suppliers/OEMs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technology vendors and cybersecurity OEMs across the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including sourcing, contracting, onboarding, governance, performance management, renewals and exit.
  • Understand cybersecurity products, services and solution constructs, including vendor capabilities, technology dependencies, licensing models and associated technology risks.
  • Conduct techno-commercial evaluations of vendor solutions, balancing technical suitability, product requirements, architecture, supplier capability, risk, commercials and total cost of ownership.
  • Drive RFI/RFQ/RFP, strategic sourcing, vendor evaluation, benchmarking and supplier selection for cybersecurity and other technology requirements.
  • Lead and support commercial negotiations covering pricing, discounts, licensing, contract terms, SLAs, service credits, renewals, commercial protections and supplier commitments.
  • Manage supplier performance and governance through KPIs, SLAs, QBRs, performance reviews, escalations and corrective action plans.
  • Partner with Product, Cybersecurity, Technology, Procurement, Finance, Legal and Operations teams to translate technical and business requirements into appropriate vendor, sourcing and commercial strategies.
  • Perform cost analysis, benchmarking and optimization, including supplier spend analysis, licensing optimization, price-volume modelling, commercial model evaluation and identification of savings opportunities.
  • Understand product-related billing, P2P, PO, invoice, cost allocation and commercial dependencies, particularly where multiple suppliers, OEMs or internal organizations are involved.
  • Identify and manage vendor, commercial, contractual, cybersecurity and technology risks, including supplier dependencies, service continuity, data/security obligations and third-party risks.
  • Support contract provisions covering areas such as security obligations, incident notification, data protection, audit rights, business continuity/disaster recovery, liability, subcontractors and exit/transition requirements.
  • Leverage analytics, automation and AI to improve supplier governance, spend visibility, contract analysis, renewal planning, risk management and commercial decision-making.

Cybersecurity OEM & Technology Exposure

  • Network Security / NGFW / SASE For eg.: Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco
  • Cloud Security For eg.: Palo Alto Networks,  Microsoft
  • IAM : Microsoft Entra, CyberArk
  • DDoS / Web Security: Akamai, Cloudflare, F5
  • Managed Security / SOC: MSSP/MDR/SOC services, including SLAs, performance and commercial models

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Technology Vendor Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Commercial Management or a related function.
  • Strong techno-commercial capability with the ability to bridge technology and commercial discussions.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity products, technologies and OEM ecosystems.

  • Strong experience with strategic sourcing, RFQ/RFP and supplier evaluation.
  • Experience in contract and commercial negotiations, including pricing, licensing, contractual terms, SLAs and renewals.
  • Knowledge of software/SaaS licensing, subscription, consumption and enterprise agreement models.
  • Experience in supplier performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, governance and escalation management.
  • Strong cost and financial analysis capability, including TCO, benchmarking and spend optimization.
