AT&T is seeking a Machine Learning Specialist / Data Scientist based in Mexico City. In this role, you will join the Finance Commissions team and design intelligent solutions that ensure sales compensation accuracy in AT&T’s U.S. domestic operations. You’ll work at the intersection of machine learning, data engineering, and finance: building anomaly detection and data validation models, integrating them into Databricks pipelines, and translating complex business rules into automated solutions powered by multiple data sources.

Sales commissions are not an academic exercise. When your models detect an anomaly, they protect the payroll of thousands of AT&T sales professionals. When they don’t, the impact is real. This is applied machine learning where accuracy matters every day.

What You Will Do:

• Identify, train, and deploy appropriate ML models for anomaly detection and data validation in the commissions process
• Integrate models into Databricks pipelines and automate model retraining and monitoring
• Analyze historical data from upstream systems to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality and pipeline efficiency
• Document solutions and present findings to technical and business teams

What You Will Need:

• Strong Python skills (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy), PySpark, and Databricks ML
• Experience working with multi-source data environments and Trino (Presto) connectivity
• Experience with MLflow or similar model management tools
• Knowledge of anomaly detection techniques and statistical methods
• Familiarity with financial or commissions data is a plus
• Strong data visualization and communication skills

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s or Master´s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in ML engineering or data science
• Advanced conversational English is required. You’ll collaborate daily with U.S.-based stakeholders in finance and engineering.
• The role is based in Mexico City. No relocation is offered. This position is hybrid; you may be expected to go into the office 3 days per week.

Our Machine Learning Specialist / Data Scientist earns between $62,666 – $94,000 MXN gross monthly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on experience, expertise, and education/training.
