JOB LOCATION: 2900 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75075
DUTIES: Lead and develop teams of data scientists, data engineers and application developers by identifying opportunities for cost reduction, revenue opportunities, and customer experience improvements based on intelligence developed from company data assets and knowledge and relationships with the business while balancing predictability and ethical AI concepts (20%).Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies, driving hands-on use to determine if and how it would be useful (cost, performance, accuracy) in our insights (2%). Provide expert guidance to highly skilled multidisciplinary teams by combining business and technical knowledge (20%). Drive innovation by challenging, debating, and pushing normal processes (3%). Build relationships with key partners and leadership sponsors of data insights (20%). Manage a technical team and required projects (25%). Supervises six (6) employees, including four (4) Lead Data/AI Engineering, one (1) Lead Data Scientist, and one (1) Lead Applications Development (10%).
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Data Science, Engineering, or Statistics and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered, or ten (10) years of experience in a related occupation managing a technical team and required projects; leveraging data by working with data scientists and engineers to provide valuable direction and insight for management to make informed decisions; working with algorithm categories, including Supervised Learning, Unsupervised Learning, Generative AI, Large and Small Language Models,
Fine Tuning, Optimization Algorithms, Deep Learning, AI-Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Deep Reinforcement Learning, Search Algorithms, and AI-Knowledge Graphs; and utilizing data science language, modern ML packages and libraries, and Big Data technologies and concepts.
Our Director - Data Sciences earns between $241,500 - $362,300 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers.
