As a Principal System Engineer at AT&T for target architecture billing domain and Security by design lead, you will play a critical role in shaping the architecture of cutting-edge systems that power our business. What You’ll Do

• Design and develop comprehensive system architecture covering both hardware and software components in Wireless and Broadband billing, ordering and assurance domains as Principal system engineer collaborating with cross domain teams.

• Act as a lead for security by design evaluating and developing solutions for security and compliance adherence across billing, ordering and assurance applications in both legacy and target platforms

• Critical thinking for developing and defining target architecture roadmaps and developing solutions to meet business needs as part of BSS transformation

• Decompose EPICs, Features into user stories and do required development (coding) to deliver business functionality

• Develop Solution intent and application impact assessment-

• EPIC/Feature refinement, user story, and interface design analysis & Story point estimation

• Acting as the application SME for the domain target roadmap with latest scalable and resilient technologies

• Providing audit support and evidence gathering collaborating with various cross functional teams

• Ensuring security and retention compliance

• Planning and executing disaster recovery- 

• Experience is code branch management, CI/CD pipeline, continuous delivery, change management

• Contributing to the core roadmap to support the application roadmap

• Identifying core platform or business logic gaps, and proposing effective solutions

• Managing user story coverage and demo acceptance

• Handling defect management and troubleshooting

• Developing application interface design- Facilitating the end-of-life for AID versions with dependent systems

• Define integrated solutions that balance performance, scalability, reliability, security, and usability requirements.

• Lead the coordination and integration of entire systems, including complex subsystems.

• Research emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to elevate existing systems.

• Support technical initiatives as a key contributor on large-scale projects.

• Drive the development and maintenance of new and existing technologies with robust security, compliant with AT&T and regulatory standards, scalable and resilient systems meeting the business expectations and SLAs.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly, mentoring and guiding team members effectively.

What You’ll Bring

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in system engineering, Architecture, Design, Development (coding) or related technical roles.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• Vast experience in Telecom especially developing and implementing solutions using latest technical stack in  Wireless and Broadband billing, ordering and assurance domains.

• Experience in security by design enabling robust security and compliance.

• AI Experience in Application development, Quality, Monitoring, Scalability and resiliency.

• Proven track record designing systems that successfully address high performance and scalability challenges.

• Strong skills in creating clear, detailed technical documentation for systems and applications.

• Ability to collaborate seamlessly with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking with a logical, systematic approach.

• Passion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends and technologies.

Our Principal System Engineering, earns between $141,300-$237,400 USD Annual not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
