Telecom Technology, Supplier Governance, Data Intelligence & Business Transformation

Role Overview

Global Vendor Management is seeking a technically strong telecom professional who can understand complex telecom technology ecosystems, enterprise platforms, supplier operations, financial governance, and business transformation priorities.

The ideal candidate will be able to connect technology, vendor performance, supplier spend, cost, revenue, KPIs, QBRs, dashboards, and business intelligence into meaningful insights for leadership decision-making. This individual should possess strong awareness of telecom technologies, enterprise system landscapes, integrations, operational workflows, and emerging industry trends, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for leadership audiences.

The role requires a unique combination of technical depth, business acumen, financial understanding, supplier governance expertise, data intelligence capability, and executive communication skills. The successful candidate will proactively identify opportunities for automation, simplification, process optimization, and technology-driven transformation, helping drive operational efficiency, stronger governance, improved financial performance, and better business outcomes.

This is not a traditional billing or reporting role. It is a technology-enabled business transformation role requiring technical depth, supplier governance understanding, financial acumen, data intelligence, and executive communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of AT&T business processes, technology ecosystems, platform integrations, and operational workflows to identify modernization, simplification, and automation opportunities.
  • Understand complex telecom technologies, enterprise systems, workflow platforms, operational processes, and system integrations across the business ecosystem.
  • Serve as a bridge between technology teams and business leadership by translating technical concepts into clear business language and actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze supplier spend, vendor performance, cost structures, revenue trends, financial risks, and operational metrics to support informed decision-making.
  • Support and strengthen QBRs, KPI governance, supplier scorecards, performance reviews, financial reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, KPI views, leadership scorecards, business intelligence reports, and executive-ready presentations for US leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, process optimization, system integration, and technology-enabled transformation to reduce manual effort, improve controls, and enhance business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Finance to understand supplier spend, cost optimization opportunities, revenue impact, financial controls, and business performance drivers.
  • Convert operational, technical, vendor, and financial data into business intelligence, insights, recommendations, and leadership narratives.
  • Support governance forums, supplier reviews, performance discussions, business reviews, and cross-functional action planning.
  • Contribute to integrated business operations capabilities that improve visibility, governance, analytics, automation, and decision-making across GVM.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Telecom Technology, Telecom Operations, Systems Integration, Vendor Management, Supplier Governance, Finance Operations, Revenue Assurance, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Program Management, or Digital Transformation.
  • Strong understanding of telecom technologies, platforms, business processes, operational workflows, and enterprise system ecosystems.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts, system interactions, workflows, integrations, and technology solutions to business and leadership audiences.
  • Experience with supplier spend analysis, vendor performance management, QBRs, KPI tracking, scorecards, governance reporting, and operational metrics.
  • Strong ability to work with Finance on cost analysis, revenue impact, supplier spend, financial performance, and business controls.
  • Experience creating dashboards, executive reports, KPI summaries, governance materials, and leadership presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technology teams by translating technical capabilities, platform functionality, and system interactions into business value and leadership recommendations.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert complex data into clear insights, business recommendations, and executive narratives.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, financial understanding, technical problem-solving ability, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams, influence stakeholders, simplify complexity, and drive measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to telecom business technologies, enterprise applications, workflow tools, OSS/BSS concepts, reporting platforms, analytics tools, or business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience supporting automation, process improvement, systems integration, digital transformation, operational excellence, or governance initiatives.
  • Demonstrated interest in AI, automation, emerging technologies, data intelligence, and technology-led business transformation.
  • Experience preparing QBR decks, executive dashboards, supplier performance reviews, KPI scorecards, financial summaries, and leadership presentations.
  • Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and ability to quickly understand new technologies, business models, and operating environments.
