This role will manage strategic vendor relationships, SLA/KPI performance, contract compliance, commercial governance, risk controls, and cross-functional execution while enabling AI-led automation, predictive insights, intelligent dashboards, and governance analytics across the vendor lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technology vendor lifecycle governance, including onboarding, contract execution, SLA/KPI performance, renewals, risk controls, and exit management.
  • Manage strategic relationships with telecom vendors, OEMs, managed service providers, network suppliers, and internal business stakeholders.
  • Drive vendor performance governance through scorecards, service reviews, escalation management, corrective action plans, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Product, Operations, P2P, Revenue Assurance, and Billing teams to align commercial, operational, and financial outcomes.
  • Support contract compliance, pricing reviews, renewal strategy, commercial governance, cost optimization, and vendor consolidation initiatives.
  • Identify vendor risks, service gaps, billing issues, dependency failures, and process inefficiencies; drive structured resolution and control improvements.
  • Enable AI-led workflow automation, GenAI-assisted reporting, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, exception management, decision intelligence, and intelligent governance dashboards.
  • Own transformation roadmaps, governance forums, milestone tracking, automation adoption, and leadership-level reporting for vendor management initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 12–14+ years of experience in technology vendor management, supplier governance, telecom operations, procurement, commercial management, or transformation programs.
  • Strong telecom background with exposure to telco products, network services, managed services, OEM/vendor ecosystems, billing, P2P, and service delivery models.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Vendor Manager, Vendor Governance Lead, Supplier Relationship Manager, Technology Vendor Manager, or similar role managing strategic telecom/technology vendors.
  • MBA, MCA, B.Tech/BE, or equivalent qualification required; MBA preferred for commercial/vendor governance-focused roles.
  • Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, SLA governance, KPI scorecards, commercial reviews, vendor risk management, and service performance governance.
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across Product, Finance, Procurement, Operations, Revenue Assurance, Billing, and external vendor organizations.
  • Experience driving vendor cost optimization, renewal governance, commercial negotiation support, vendor consolidation, and process transformation.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical thinking, governance discipline, data interpretation, and executive reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with telecom OEMs, managed service providers, network suppliers, cloud providers, or large technology vendors.
  • Exposure to AI-led automation, GenAI use cases, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, intelligent dashboards, workflow orchestration, process mining, governance reporting, and decision intelligence.
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect vendor performance, service delivery, billing outcomes, cost optimization, risk controls, and business value.
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

Success Measures

  • Improved vendor lifecycle governance maturity and operating discipline.
  • Higher SLA/KPI compliance, improved vendor accountability, and faster issue resolution.
  • Reduced vendor-related risks, service gaps, billing exceptions, and commercial leakage.
  • Improved cost governance, renewal outcomes, vendor performance visibility, and leadership reporting.
  • Increased adoption of AI-led automation, GenAI-assisted reporting, predictive insights, anomaly detection, intelligent dashboards, and governance analytics.

Ideal Candidate Profile
